Jackie Robson

I have been the Practice Manager at Mckenzie Vets since 2017. It is an amazing practice to work in with lovely clients and a great team.

My role is extremely varied including Property Management, Financial, Health and Safety, Purchasing, IT, Reception, etc. Never a dull moment. One very important part of my job is to make sure we always have an adequate supply of coffee and cake for the team!

I have worked in veterinary for 10 years, prior to this I ran an Eventing Yard in the Scottish Borders. I spent 8 years in Cyprus teaching horse riding and training race horses for the track. I am an FEI Coach and British Horse Society Instructor. Prior to all of this, I worked in 5 star hotels as Personnel and Training Manager.

My fur babies include Max my young Jack Russell, who comes into work every day with me. I also have my big boys, Bruno my three year old Black German Shepherd and Mylo Moo a two year old Black Rottweiler x Newfoundland. I am a member of the Refrewshire German Shepherd Walking Group (the other two dogs get to go too as honoury German Shepherds!). Favourite walks include the forest walks above Drymen and Knock Mountain near Kilmalcolm.  

I have a passion for Highland Ponies and Hunters and have owned and shown both at county level.
