Jeanette Collins

I have been a receptionist at Mckenzie Vets for nearly a decade. I consider myself very lucky to spend my working day surrounded by animals of all varieties. I get to share in the excitement of a new puppy or kitten right through to the sadness that comes with the loss of a much lover pet and all the bits in between.

I’ve got to know many of our lovely clients over the years, a lot of whom I would consider as friends. We’ve got to share laughter and tears along the way and I hold many of their pets in my heart.

My own pack consists of Todd the lurcher who is an old man of 14 years. He is a gentle soul with the patience of a saint. Next is Piper who is a 5 year old Jug. She may be the smallest but she has the biggest attitude and is the boss. Finally we have Marvin who is a 2 year old Spanish Galgo. He is a loveable boy, full of nonsense and despite having known extremely cruelty has put it behind him and loving his new life.

My real passion is the rescue and welfare of greyhounds. In my spare time I like to walk with my dogs and spend time with my family. I am also a keen ice hockey fan and a follower of the Glasgow Clan at Braehead Arena.
