Julie Osmond

From a young age, I knew I wanted to be a Veterinary Nurse. I had small animals growing up - hamsters, guinea-pigs and rabbits and I thoroughly enjoyed caring for them. After studying for my Highers I commenced Veterinary Nurse training with Edinburgh's Telford College and Glasgow Vet School, qualifying in 2005. I have worked in small animal general practice ever since.

I enjoy all aspects of my role, especially Nurse Clinics and Anaesthesia. I joined the team at Mckenzies in November 2023 and I am privileged to be working with a wonderful, supportive team.

At home, I live with my husband and 2 young daughters. We currently have two guinea pigs called Betty and Mavis.

In my spare time I enjoy growing vegetables (the piggies are delighted by this!) and baking.
